How 20 UK subscriptions make you cancel in 2026

Feoh keeps a record of the official cancellation route each provider publishes for UK customers. This page counts up those records for 20 popular subscriptions and shows which kind of route each one uses as its primary option.

What the numbers show

  • 16 of 20 have an online primary route, either on the web or in an app or account settings.
  • 1 of 20 use a phone route as their primary option.
  • 3 of 20 use a mixed route as their primary option.

These counts describe only the primary route in Feoh’s verified records. Most providers publish more than one way to cancel, so a provider counted as phone here may also accept cancellations another way.

Why this matters now

The UK Government’s 2026 subscription plans are intended to require clearer information before sign-up, reminders before certain trials and renewals, and easier cancellation, including online cancellation for subscriptions entered into online. The Parliamentary statement sets out the planned changes. The regime is expected to commence in spring 2027, not already in force. Feoh’s 20-provider sample is not representative of the whole market; it is a September 2026 benchmark of published primary routes, not a measure of how easy cancellation feels in practice.

Methodology

Every row comes from the official cancellation route the provider itself publishes: a cancellation page, account area, help article or phone line. Feoh transcribes the route with its source and the date it was last checked, and never invents contact details. Where a provider publishes several routes, this page counts only the primary one, the route Feoh shows first on that provider’s cancellation page. That does not mean it is the only available route.

Limitations

  • This is a snapshot of Feoh’s verified records, not a live crawl. Routes change, and the date on each row shows when it was last checked.
  • How you are billed matters. Subscriptions taken out through an app store, a payment partner or a third party often have to be cancelled through that billing provider instead, and those routes are not counted here.
  • There is no difficulty ranking. Feoh does not score or rank how hard each provider makes cancellation, because the records only show the published route, not the experience of using it.
  • The 20 providers were chosen because they are popular UK subscriptions, not as a representative sample of the whole market.
